January 2020 Owners Letter

Dear Owner:

While we are having difficulty saying 2020, it is upon us!

The Holiday crowds at Copper were heavy this year and all lifts were open, including the Three Bears Lift on Tucker Mountain.  Reports have been very positive with incredible views from the top reported.   The terrain in steep and we urge only expert skiers to experience this new lift.

We remind everyone that the television signal is only in digital format.  Thus, if you still have an older, analog television it will not work on the Copper system.   You must have a digital television.

Your year-end tax reports and 1099’s will go out soon.   Please utilize this information to file your income tax return.   If you have questions regarding the information that is sent to you, please request those questions at your earliest opportunity.

Copper has applied with the County Planning Department to allow parking on the County Road and hole #13 of the golf course, during the Dew Tour.   This is the first year that the event is being held

at Copper (formerly at Breckenridge) and attendance is anticipated to be strong.  Thus, the request for parking, that was discussed at the Ten Mile Planning Commission Meeting on January 9th and approved.

The Dew Tour is scheduled to occur February 6 – 9, 2020.

With the A – Lift Development scheduled to start this next summer with infrastructure, we expect to see changes to the golf course that will close some of the holes next summer.  Holes 12, 13, 14 and 15 will require modifications that will make those holes closed for a portion, if not all of 2020.

Powdr, Corp., the owner of Copper Mountain, is focusing on the ski mountain as they continue to invest in our area.  While the Corporation does own undeveloped land, their strategy has been to sell the land to developers rather than developing themselves.  This includes the new hotel being built in the Chapel Lot and the A-Lift development.

Thank you for your continued support as we progress through the current ski season.  We wish you a happy and prosperous New Year.

Very truly yours,
