June 2017 owner letter

Dear Owner:

Copper re-opens today with the golf course, center village activities and an event this weekend called ‘Dirty Girl’.   There is already activity on the course with golfers taking advantage of the fabulous weather.   Preparations for the Dirty Girl event have been occurring for the past several days.

While there is still a fair amount of snow on the mountain, lift rides to Solitude start today.  The space formerly occupied by Peak Sports in Copper Junction building is transferring over to Copper Sports.  This new location will offer guest services and bike rentals.   We are told that Endo’s will be open until July,  then close for renovations.   Jack’s Bar, in Copper One, will be open as an additional dining option during this renovation.   The mountain coaster construction will cause closure of the south end of the Flyer parking lot and total closure of the Union Creek parking lot for the summer.

On the east end of the resort, the Metropolitan District will continue its water upgrade project, connecting the new well in Farley Park to an expanded well house #2 near the 10th hole of the golf course.  This connection will be created by a 9 foot deep water line, causing quite a bit of disruption to Wheeler Circle between these two points.

If you have not booked your property for personal use for the upcoming winter please do so soon.  We are receiving a lot of requests for units for the upcoming season, particularly Christmas.  On line bookings by guests are live, so once booked it is tough to modify.

Annual meetings for several condominium associations will be occurring throughout the summer with the majority still happening over the Labor Day Weekend.   We urge you to stay involved with your association and participate with its future.  Real estate values are certainly impacted and if you are buying or selling, knowing what is planned is critical.

Copper Mountain is hosting a meeting this coming Tuesday, the 13th to discuss future development plans.   If you are unable to attend, I will report back to you with discussions from this meeting.  For those of you who can attend we look forward to seeing you.

The summer is underway and the resort is set to host weekend events bringing visitors to the village.   Thank you for including your property in our program.

Sincerely,

Tom Malmgren
